Background and scope
- The research maps the procedures that EU Member States and EMN Observing Countries have for asylum applicants and beneficiaries of international protection to follow vocational education and training and work-based learning pathways.
- There is also attention to measures and policies to encourage participation in vocational education.
- The research focuses particularly on vocational education offered by government bodies (either free of charge or with partial funding).
- In the research, vocational education is understood as: programmes aimed at equipping asylum applicants and beneficiaries of international protection with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required on the labour market.
