Background and scope
- Civic integration courses play an important role in the integration process. The measures in this area vary considerably from country to country. Moreover, the available information on these measures is often fragmented and incomplete..
- The joint EMN–OECD study maps, for each country:
- which objectives and requirements civic integration courses for migrants from non-EU/EFTA countries have, and which competent authorities are involved;
- who is responsible for the costs;
- what the courses and/or training programmes look like in terms of content;
- which successes, innovations and insights countries can share.
